    SUMITRO BASAK.(Born: 1975 kolkata.) is a visual artist completed his graduation(1997) and post graduation(1999) in fine arts from Kala Bhavana, Santiniketan .Sumitro always had an interest in contemporary multicultural life juxtaposed with contrary elements which is emblem of today’s india. Advertisements, films, religious spectacles alltogether along with modern economic growth of india inspires multiple layered ‘stories’ which speaks about various aspects of people’s lives, that inspires him to create ‘VISUAL STORIES’ that he express in various languages and mediums and also presenting them at various kinds of public spaces /audiences suitable for particular subject. It is always about sharing‘stories’ with others.
    Sumitro has been participated in various national and international exhibition and art projects including Show at Bose Pacia New York(2003), ‘Migration city home’, group show organizedby Rashtirya Lalit Kala Kendra ,kolkata , at Birla academy of art & culture, kolkata. ‘Bengal:New Ideas & Media’,Tao art Gallery, group show Mumbai. Emerging Trends’, group show, cima gallery(2000 ‘) , Kolkata. ‘Concepts & Ideas’,CIMA kolkata.
    He gave Illustrated lecture at Yale University . U.S. topic: ’fair aesthetics’ the aesthetics and art forms involved in village fair in india along with his own works(2009 -10) .
    Sumitro attended his Indian artist residency programm at 1, Shanthiroad , Bangalore.
    MANAS ACHARYA (born 1973 ) is a multi disciplinary visual artist & curator completed his diploma in fine arts from Indian Collage of art(1996), kolkata and did his post diploma from Kala Bhavana, Santiniketan in fine arts(1999). He has worked on exploring various medium of art practices including drawing, painting, installation, video, performance art, documentary film, craft and design .He has been involved in different kinds of art activities that deals with a dialogical interaction and has been engaged in different kinds of interdisciplinary collaborations with performative actions of other artists and performers. A young and upcoming artist himself, he is engaged as a curator-coordinator of a new art space called Studio 21 run by CIMA gallery pvt ltd, Kolkata where he is curating interesting shows and trying to evolve a creative platform for young artist of Kolkata.
    He has participated in various National and international workshops and residency programs such as Khoj Kolkata International Artist workshop at Kolkata, CRAC INTERNATIONAL ARTIST WORKSHOP, at Kushtia, Bangladesh and Indian artists residency program at 1. Shanthi Road Bangalore.
